I'm not 100% sure what you are referring to, but we try to do integer scaling if possible to maintain a crisp appearance. Depending on the resolution of the screen mode and the physical resolution, that may lead to horizontal and/or vertical borders. If you don't like that, you can enable filtered scaling using CONFIG 3,1, which will maintain the exact aspect ratio.
